Additional Info for all portraits and commission work
- Please allow six weeks (working time) at the studio for a finished portrait. After acceptance by customer shipping will be arranged.
- Prices are in U S Dollars only.
- Personal check and money orders accepted
- Client to pay actual shipping cost and insurance. Cost is not included in commission price.
- Insurance is extra and paid by customer. Please be sure to ask for insurance!
- All commissions require a deposit of thirty percent. This is non-refundable. Arrangements will be made for customer to view finished painting and balance will be due upon acceptance of finished painting.
- If portrait does not meet the expectations of customer at completion, or after minor adjustments there is no further obligation on the part of the customer. The art work remains the property of the artist.
Portraits (people , animals, homes, cares, etc.) are drawn from your clear photos which can be mailed regular mail or e-mailed. Photos should be in focus, taken in natural light, no flash and eye level (for animals).
Several shots showing details are preferred. Reference photos are returned to customer with finished portrait. Artist and customer will agree upon the pose of the portrait.
Information about Pastels Pastels are applied as a dry,permanent medium, always looking fresh and never yellowing with age. Their luminous colors can be used for a soft muted appearance or for bright details where needed. I use only the highest quality professional pastels and pastel paper in every portrait and fine art painting. Each customer can be assured they are purchasing fine art and portraits that last a lifetime.
Each pastel painting comes with instructions for care and framing of their art work. Please make sure your framer is familiar with this medium and given the care instructions for your art. Pastels must be framed under glass with a mat or spacer to keep the pastel from touching the glass.
